A Meander in South Thailand: Small Group Holiday Tour Package – Tour 8B

15 Days

This 15-day small group holiday tour package is the second half of tour 8C Thai Meander All itinerary.

While all Baktrax tours will show you the real cultures of the destinations you visit, the Meander trips take this to another level again.

If you want to see what South Thailand is all about while travelling slowly enough to make it an even more relaxing holiday then this is the tour for you. Fewer destinations in more depth.

This south Thailand Meander would be even more suitable for families also with lots of beach time after a real local experience.

The South Meander takes in the better-known destinations of Bangkok & Hua Hin as well as the three less-visited destinations of Samut Songkram, Cha-Am and  Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Have a full month to  Meander in the north also. http://baktrax.com/small-group-tours-thailand/thai-meanderer-all

Expect a local train trip to an amazing locals-only destination. Then expect extra time by the more famous Thai seaside. Less travel overall with more time for a genuine vacation.

Expect local culture with very few tourists at the first beach stop and a very touristy experience at the second.

Expect both local food and seafood as good as it gets.

A real South Thailand tour with the lot.

Transport & Accommodation

Transport & Accommodation – The Facts

Day 1 :

Tonight our Thailand small group holiday tour package will stay in; BANGKOK – Our South Thailand small group tour officially starts when you check into your Bangkok accommodation.
A welcoming dinner will be had in the evening.
Wat Phra Kaew & the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, Wat Arun, MBK or Siam shopping centres.
Or take a public ferry ride with the locals on the Chao Phraya express to some local shops/markets in Nonthaburi.
A few of the dozens of other options may be Vimanmek Teak Mansion, Chinatown, Wat Traimit, Jim Thompsons House, Silom or Sukhumvit road shops.
OR? Maybe just lay back and have a traditional Thai Massage. A month in the capital wouldn’t allow you enough time to see it all.

Day 2 :

BANGKOK – A free day to recover from any jet lag by the pool or get out and experience what this truly amazing city has to offer. Our tour coordinator available to point you in the right direction whether it be sightseeing and/or shopping or a real Thai meal experience that can only be had in Thailand. As it’s a Saturday the Chatuchak Weekend Market is a popular place to look for a bargain. With thousands of stalls don’t expect to see it all in one day but do expect to purchase something you never even knew existed before today.
From a mouse to an elephant; Although it’s so big even an elephant may be hard to find. One of the world’s great markets. One of the most visited cities in the world and it won’t take long for you to find out why.

Tonight our small group Thailand tour will stay in; SAMUT SONGKRAM – Before we relax seaside we will first travel on two almost secret little rail lines by two very local trains, bisected by a river ferry crossing, to the geographically smallest province in the Kingdom, Samut Songkram.

Also known as Mae Klong by the locals. It would be most unlikely to see any other non-locals on this train. A fascinating look at local life both on the train and along the tracks.

This is a not to be missed almost unknown highlight of Thailand. A real local experience which also sees our last stop in the middle of the unique railway station market. Clear the tracks! Train arriving!

SAMUT SONGKRAM – A free day to wander around this REAL Thai provincial capital, it seems once again that the Baktrax philosophy of small is best rings true because the local population must surely be in the running for the friendliest people in this Kingdom of friendly people. Wat Phet Samut Worawihan will give you a look at a local temple. No meals

In the evening you will get the chance to have ten courses or more dinner for a few dollars as you meander around the evening street vendors market grazing on the numerous and cheap delights on offer.

Day 5 :

onight our group travel tour Thailand tour will stay in; CHA-AM – Our small group tour now heads for the beach today via local buses. Cha-Am is a very popular weekend seaside destination for Bangkokians and other locals but as we are there mid week and there are fewer crowds, this beautiful coastal destination is even more appealing. CHILL! No meals

Day 6 :

CHA-AM – This lesser known seaside resort has a great atmosphere whether laying on the long beach during the day or eating seafood with a beer at night. The local town part of Cha-Am is a short motorbike taxi ride away from the beach where you will be able to visit the once weekly night market with lots of goodies on offer to tempt and delight.

Day 7 :

CHA-AM – Repeat day 6. Eat, drink and chill out.

Tonight our cheap small group Thailand tour will stay in; PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN – By bus or train today will see our small group tour in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Prachuap is far less famous than its neighbour Hua Hin but also has some great beaches and seafood just minus the hordes of tourists.

The stunning limestone karsts jutting out of the ocean make the perfect backdrop for an evening coldie. Think mini Halong bay.

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN – Firstly let us paint the breakfast picture; Buffet by the pool overlooking the spectacular limestone karst seaside scenery. Then a totally free day to lay on a beach or by the pool, or perhaps explore this peaceful little seaside town. For the active, Khao Chong Krajok, (mirror tunnel mountain), is a tough walk to the temple on the top of Wat Thammikikarem. Some monkeys may entertain you along the way before more great town and ocean views.

Day 10 :

Tonight our Thailand group vacation tour will stay in: HUA HIN – A very short bus ride will see our Thailand group tour in the far more famous seaside destination of Hua Hin. For those who want a more touristy destination, Hua Hin fits the bill perfectly.

The town itself makes for a pleasant stroll and the beach is only minutes away also. In the evening one of the best night markets for seafood in all Thailand sets up on a daily basis.

Day 11 :

HUA HIN – If you must be in a tourist destination then we guess we best do what tourists do. Lay on a beach, eat, drink and be merry. Hua Hin won’t disappoint in this respect.

Day 12 :

HUA HIN – More of the same seaside in tropical climes. Will it be Lobster or prawns tonight?

Day 13 :

HUA HIN – Yet another day to laze, shop, or meander around town or along the beach. More seafood or a pizza for a change?

Day 14 :

Tonight our cheap Thailand group tour package will stay in; BANGKOK – By bus or train Our small group tour will return to where we began, Bangkok, with the rest of the day free.

Day 15 :
