This 21-day, 20-night, Cambodia & Vietnam small group tour is for the more adventurous & experienced traveller who wants to tick off the must-sees of both countries in one go. It is designed especially for those who want to travel solo and are over 60. No single supplement and you will still get your own room and a guaranteed departure even for one only.
*While designed for solos at 60 or + it is most certainly not restricted to them. All ages and/or circumstances are just as welcome. One price per person fits all.
It is for those who want slow, comfortable & relaxed travel. One international and one domestic flight take most of the hard travel away. There is the optional extra of another two unaccompanied flights rather than 2 long but still fascinating bus trips if you wish.
We will stay in four-star accommodation for 6 nights, three-star for 12 nights, plus 1 night in a deluxe boat cabin and one night on an overnight sleeper train.
Perfect for those who want to see the sights and experience the local culture also. All in holiday relaxation mode. You will have an over 60s Tour Coordinator who has lived in the region for many years.
Start in Bangkok before flying to Hanoi with a Street food dinner tour in the Old Quater and from there a night on a deluxe boat on Halong Bay.
Next up experience travelling with the locals on an overnight sleeper train to Hue where a guided tour of the historic Citadel is included.
Then transfer over the marble mountains to the charming Hoi An for three nights.
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City and go on a city tour the following day.
Cambodia then looms big with the not so far in distance but still long day by bus across the border to the capital Phnom Penh and all its sights. (anyone not wanting this long day can fly unaccompanied as another option).
After the hectic capital, it will be the laid back Battambang that will put you back in relax mode with its charm.
Lastly the super highlight of Angkor Wat before a long day by bus back to Bangkok and a last free day to relax, explore or shop. (Again the option of flying back from Siem Reap to Bangkok unaccompanied is available).
All the highlights of both countries rolled into one with as easy as you can get travel in this part of the world at fantastic value for a maximum group size of eight only. Starting and finishing in always amazing Bangkok means giving you the most options for your flights to and from your home country also.
Overview
Expect to see the super highlights of both countries while experiencing the local cultures along the way. Expect comfy accommodation and both comfy plane travel and not so comfy buses and overnight train for that local experience. Expect some unexpected sights also. Most importantly expect to be charmed by the destinations and the locals.
